Pomona is a landscape design studio grounded in a desire to reconnect modern life with old ways of living—growing food, caring for the land, working with the seasons and cultivating practical skills that have enriched lives and sustained households for generations.

Founded by Ben Strong and Madeleine Muscat, Pomona brings together expertise in design, productive landscapes and practical food growing.

With more than a decade of experience as a registered architect and certified permaculture designer, Ben combines architectural thinking, landscape design and productive systems to create beautiful, practical and enduring places.

Maddy is the behind-the-scenes force that keeps Pomona moving. With a background in strategy consulting, project management and marketing communications, she brings big-picture thinking and a strong focus on the client experience. Maddy also has deep knowledge of kitchen gardening and the food education landscape through her work with the internationally recognised Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program.

Together, Ben and Maddy have transformed their suburban Melbourne property into a thriving urban homestead which they share with their chickens, bees and chihuahua Gino. Through their YouTube channel, they help others grow food, shape productive landscapes and build a more sustainable way of life.
